Why Gopal Krishan?
Your neighbor. A father. A dog lover. Someone who calls Alameda County home and is ready to fight for it.
I am not a politician. I am your neighbor, a father, and a dog lover. My family lives here in this county — this is my home. I am running for District Attorney because I want to ensure public safety: the kind of safety we can all feel. Public safety is a fundamental right, and it is not negotiable.
As District Attorney, I will have five main priorities. First, accountability and transparency — the public deserves to know what the DA's office is doing and why. Second, keeping our communities safe — including taking hate crimes seriously and protecting those targeted because of who they are. Third, holding repeat and violent offenders accountable — that is how we reduce crime and make neighborhoods safer.
Fourth, I will rebuild public trust through measurable outcomes — using technology and modern tools to track performance and show results. And fifth, victims will be treated with dignity and respect — they deserve clear communication, meaningful support, and a voice in the process.

Holding violent and repeat offenders fully accountable while using evidence-based approaches to reduce recidivism and keep communities safe.
Using technology and performance tracking with measurable results. Data-driven outcomes that the public can see and verify.
Treating every victim with respect, clear communication, and meaningful support throughout the justice process. Victims deserve to be heard.
Investing in youth diversion programs, mentorship, and community-based prevention strategies that stop crime before it starts.
